Calder Food Support

We are glad to provide ongoing support for Calder Food Support, with a further new grant of £200 per month for the next six months, to contribute towards the invaluable work they do. As a local group of dedicated volunteers, they focus on helping provide food for people in crisis and at times of difficulty, to tide them over until their circumstances change. They are also involved in Warm Space provision. The group urgently needs funds to buy food to distribute on a weekly basis from their depots in Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Luddendenfoot. They also need volunteers to help with shopping, packing and giving out bags at the three centres.

Secretary Sue says “I would like to thank the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge for their generous contribution to our Charity. This enables us to continue to support those local people who are struggling with the cost of living and find it difficult to access the food banks at Todmorden and Halifax. As a volunteer handing the food bags to people I hear their thanks for the difference it makes”.
