Cookie policy

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is saved to your computer when you visit a website. Cookies cannot carry viruses or anything that could harm your computer and are used for a variety of functions such as tracking how you use a website, remembering what you put into your shopping basket and remembering that you've logged into a website.

What can and can't cookies do?

Cookies cannot access your computer or read any personal information from your computer. Cookies cannot be accessed by different web browsers (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google chrome) so if you visit a website in one web browser and then visit the same website in another web browser this would set two different cookies on your computer. Cookies cannot identify people, but are used to help us generate meaningful reports about what content you look at, what type of operating system and web browser you use.

What cookies we use

The only cookies in use on our site are for Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website. Google Analytics customers can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so that they can improve it. Like many services, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track visitor interactions as in our case, where they are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We then use the information to compile reports and to help us improve our site. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. These cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before and what site referred the visitor to the web page. Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit our site

How do I change my settings to accept or block cookies?

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit or To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites visit If you share the use of a computer, accepting or rejecting the use of cookies might affect all users of that computer.

Find out more

You'll find more information about cookies at All about cookies, which gives details on how to delete cookies from your computer. For information on how to do this on your mobile phone browser, please see your handset manual.
