Additionally, the Rotary Club sold tickets from a kiosk in St. George's Square on the two weekends before Easter and on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and on Easter Monday.

On Easter Monday tickets were on sale from 10.00am to 3.00pm in St George's Square and at West End. The Duck Race started at approximately 3.15pm from County Bridge in the centre of the town, next to the new Town Hall, and finished at West End bridge on the A646. Throughout the day there was a variety of entertainment, including children's rides, stalls and live music.

Prizes are: 1st £300, 2nd £200, 3rd £100, 4th £50

The Rotary Club asked all local businesses to be involved in a duckmania of their own by sponsoring larger red, green or blue ducks which will have their own race prior to the main event.

All profits from the Duck Race, and other club events, are distributed to local and national charities with a particular emphasis this year on helping victims of the recent flooding in the upper Calder valley. A list of donations made by the Rotary Club can be found here.
