Annual boxing show!

Boxing fans – don’t miss this Saturday!  Hebden Bridge Boxing Club, a not-for-profit registered charity, has been serving the community for 15 years. The club boasts 27 affiliated boxers, ranging in age from 10 to 33 years, and also extends its support to keep-fit enthusiasts. The project thrives on hard work and unwavering dedication, contributing significantly to promoting a healthy lifestyle and curbing anti-social behaviour.

This Saturday afternoon (March 2nd), the club’s annual boxing show will take place at the Mytholmroyd Community Centre. The event promises 16 thrilling bouts, with Hebden Bridge boxers pitted against opponents from across the country. Doors open at 1 p.m., and the action begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for under 16s. Additionally, the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge generously contributes £300 to cover the cost of the trophies.

It’s an exciting occasion that brings together both local talent and a spirit of sportsmanship!  If you enjoy amateur boxing it will be too good to miss!
