Hebden Bridge Walking Football Club

Rotary grant supports Hebden Bridge Walking Football Club

We are pleased to award a grant of £500 to Hebden Bridge Walking Football Club.

The grant will fund essential playing and safety equipment: footballs; cones, markers and agility equipment; ball bags, pumps and storage; and a first-aid kit and medical supplies. This practical support will help the Club maintain safe, high-quality sessions as its membership continues to grow.

Hebden Bridge Walking Football Club runs four sessions each week and has around 85 playing members. It offers men and women aged 40 and over an inclusive opportunity to enjoy football, improve physical and mental wellbeing, make new friends and remain active in a safe, welcoming environment.

The Club welcomes people of all abilities, including those returning to exercise after illness, injury or a long period away from activity. Alongside the enjoyment of the game, it helps reduce isolation and strengthens friendship, teamwork and community connection.

We are glad to support a local organisation for which football is clearly more than a game: it is friendship, fitness and belonging.
