The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge has donated another £1,000 to Rotary International’s End Polio campaign. Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, every pound donated is matched 2‑to‑1, turning our £1,000 into £3,000 for global vaccination and surveillance efforts.

Polio once paralysed hundreds of thousands of children every year across the world. Today, thanks to decades of coordinated vaccination campaigns, the disease remains endemic in only two countries — Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Rotary and its partners have reduced global polio cases by more than 99.9 % since 1988, proving that a world without polio is within reach.

Together, we can finish the job — ensuring that no child, anywhere, ever again suffers from polio.
